100+ Artists, One Stage and a Global Audience

Culture Ireland creates and supports opportunities for Irish artists and companies to present their work at international festivals, venues, showcases and arts markets.

In 2019 Culture Ireland supported 453 projects in 56 countries which reached over 6 million audience members and 219 international programmers visited to engage with artists in Ireland.

Culture Ireland wants to ensure Irish artists can continue to present worldwide and stay connected with global audiences online until physical presentation is possible again. To embrace the needs of artists and programmers with changed circumstances, the number of annual grant rounds to support artists and programmers has been increased and eligible funding elements extended. Many showcase events are taking place in new formats including South by Southwest (in partnership with First Music Contact) and the Venice Architecture Biennale.

March is typically a very busy month for Irish artists as they set sail to perform on world stages. This year Culture Ireland has curated SEODA a special five-day festival enabling over 100 artists to reach global audiences from one stage – Culture Ireland YouTube channel. Don’t miss Culture Ireland’s 25 outstanding events this March.
